Brushwood Pond
Brushwood Pond (4 acres) is a pretty little manmade pond in Ringwood, Passaic County. It is Ringwood State Park.
Getting There
By itself, Brushwood Pond is perhaps not worth visiting. But it is on the beautiful Five Ponds Loop Trail (4.8 miles), which also passes by Gatun Pond and Weyble Pond. Each pond is pretty, but different. Combined, they are definitely worth visiting
Brushwood pond is the fourth pond on the Five Ponds Loop Trail, assuming that one goes clockwise from Parking Lot C. It is the pond after Weyble Pond. The following images show the section of the trail between Weyble and Brushwood ponds. Note that one cannot launch from anywhere near the trail. Instead, when the trail does a sharp turn to the north, take two old tracks around to the south end of the pond. Launch at the dam.
