Round Valley Reservoir

The Round Valley Reservoir (2350 acres) is in Clinton Township, Hunterdon County. Most of the surrounding land is in the Round Valley Recreation Area. The reservoir has no natural intake. Water is pumped up from the nearby South Branch of the Raritan River during periods of high flow, and discharged back into the river during periods of low flow.

The launch site is in the northwest corner of the reservoir. There is plenty of parking. The reservoir is large. It can be choppy.
