South Twin Lake

South Twin Lake is a small lake in Pompton Lakes, Passaic County. The public launch site is in Pacifico-Gallo Park near the dam at the southern end of the lake.

The lake is very urban. Most of the waterfront is private property. There is a lot of road noise from the nearby highways. This gets louder as one paddles north. There are three road bridges at the north end of the lake. The sections of the lake beyond each bridge are smaller and nosier, but also wilder.
