Gatun Pond
Gatun Pond (1 acre) is a pretty little manmade pond in Ringwood, Passaic County. It is in Ringwood State Park.
Getting There
By itself, Gatun Pond is perhaps not worth visiting. But it is on the beautiful Five Ponds Loop Trail (4.8 miles), which also passes by Brushwood Pond and Weyble Pond. Each pond is pretty, but different. Combined, they are definitely worth visiting
Gatun Pond is the fifth pond on the Five Ponds Loop Trail, assuming that one goes clockwise from Parking Lot C. It is the pond after Brushwood Pond. The following images show the trail between Brushwood and Gatun ponds.
