Lake Success

Lake Success (17 acres) is in Hardwick Township, Warren County. It is in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. Most of the lake is covered with weeds. But the beavers have cut channels through the vegetation, which one can use to explore. The lake is an excellent example of how beavers can significantly alter a body of water. It is both pretty and interesting.

Access to the lake is via Skyline Drive, which is a fairly rough dirt road. The Drive is closed to vehicles on weekends during the summer. There is parking at the nearby Crater Lake. From the parking lot, it is a short walk through the woods (on a trail) to Lake Success. There is no good launch site.
