Ryker Lake

Ryker Lake (30 acres) is in Sparta Township, Sussex County. It is in the Sparta Mountain Wildlife Management Area. It is a shallow man-made lake with a launch site on the south end. When we visited in late October, it was easy to navigate. But it may be overgrown with weeds during the summer.

Access Ryker Lake from Edison Road. A few hundreds yards from the junction with Glen Road, there is a narrow unmarked dirt road on the right-hand side. Take that road through the woods for a quarter-mile down to the lake.
