Stony Brook Lake

Stony Brook Lake is a pretty man-made lake in Jefferson Township, Morris County. It is in Kittatinny Valley State Park, Mt. Paul Area. The lake is surrounded by woody mountains. The Kean University Skylands Campus is on the north side.

To access Stony Brook Lake, park in the parking lot at the start of the road going up to the university (just off Ridge Road). Make sure to park outside of the gate! Walk up the road for approximately half a mile. Take the green trail going to the right. After about half a mile, you will be able to see the lake below to the left. Approximately one hundred yards further on there will be an unmarked trail going down to the lake. It is easy to miss. Launch were you can.
