Merrill Creek Reservoir

Merrill Creek Reservoir (650 acres) is located in Harmony Township, Warren County. It is a privately owned lake that was built in 1988 by the local electrical utilities. Water is drawn from the nearby Delaware River during the spring and pumped up into the reservoir. The water is returned to the Delaware River during the summer, when the flow is low, and when it is needed by the utilities to cool their generating plants.
