Wallkill River
The Wallkill Rivers starts in Sparta and drains north towards New York State.
Wallkill River, Glenwood Road to Bassetts Bridge
This section of the river runs through the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. It is almost all flat water. There are some obstructions near the start.
Bassetts Bridge to Oil City Road
This section continues through the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. It consists of two slow-moving bodies of water that are separated by a small waterfall - where the river flows over a low rocky ledge. There was only one tree obstructing, which we were able to navigate around.
